Pooya Nabavi Personal Homepage
I am Pooya Nabavi, an electrical/optical engineering Ph.D. student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and College of Optics and Photonics (CREOL) at the University of Central Florida.
Development and hardware engineering of multidisciplinary Electro-Optical systems (Camera Systems, various Electro-Optical telecommunication devices, etc) is my passion.
My primary focus during my Ph.D. has been on visible light communication (VLC) efficiency in mobile settings and develop modulation algorithms for hybrid designs of VLC and legacy Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) systems. exploration and utilization of localization and infrared optical wireless technologies is a vital part of my research which will be used to carry out experiments to verify theoretical results and develop prototypes to show the proof of the concepts of the designs. the practical applications of my research include indoor wireless communication to mobile devices such as smartphones and laptops.
Research interests:
- Hardware Engineering and Development of Electro-Optical Systems
- Camera and Photodetector Hardware Engineering
- Object Oriented Programming
- Automation & Statistical/Adaptive Signal Processing.
